This is a hands-on cooking experience where you will prepare some of Hida Takayama’s most famous local dishes together with the host, who is also a professional chef. While cooking, the host will explain the history and cultural background of each dish in English.
The menu includes:
Gohei Mochi (grilled rice cakes with a sweet and savory sauce)
Tsukemono Steak (grilled pickles, a unique local specialty)
Hoba Miso with A5-grade Hida Beef
This experience has even been featured on national television in Japan and is one of Takayama’s most popular activities for families, couples, and groups of friends.
As ingredients must be prepared in advance, reservations are required at least 3 days before the experience date.
